At Johnson Mediation Group, our professionals are dedicated to treating each party with dignity and respect, and helping to create productive dialogue and mutually beneficial, lasting solutions.

Sara Johnson has mediated more than 2,000 cases and is one of the few bilingual mediators contracted with the Office of Dispute Resolution.  Sara has served as the president of the Mediation Association of Colorado from 2015 through 2017, has been on the Board of Directors since 2011 and is the current treasurer.

She is actively involved in Mediators Beyond Borders, participating in their International Congresses in 2015 in Romania, 2017 in Holland and in 2019 in Indonesia.  Sara has extensive experience mediating domestic relations as well as civil cases.

After graduating from Sarah Lawrence College with a concentration in cultural anthropology, Sara spent twenty years living and working in Spain and South America and brings a broad worldview to her practice.

She is a published author of multicultural literature for children and has written a feature length screenplay set in Argentina during World War I.   Before starting her mediation practice, she worked in the production of film and video including producing a documentary on landmines in Mozambique.

As an initial or secondary step in the dispute resolution process, Johnson Mediation Group has partnered with Attorney and Child and Family Investigator Stephanie Suzanne to provide additional neutral services for clients that seek a more definitive resolution to their dispute outside of the courtroom.

Stephanie is a bilingual Spanish/English attorney and has been making thoughtful recommendations for families to the Colorado courts through her work as a Child and Family Investigator for the past five years.  As counsel with the Justice and Mercy legal aid clinic, Stephanie has a broad range of experience with a diversity of clients including with victims of domestic violence.  Stephanie Suzanne offers half and full day evaluative mediation and mediation/arbitration sessions in which she hears from the parties and if applicable, their attorneys, and helps to create the best possible solution.

When traditional mediation is unsuccessful, and the parties still wish to resolve their dispute outside of the courtroom, Stephanie will make a recommendation after evaluating their case based on her legal analysis and professional expertise.

If parties wish to have an initial sense of a likely outcome of their case through a third-party analysis, they may enter into this process as a first step and do a follow up mediation session to adjust the recommendations to their particular needs, wishes and circumstances.
